Full-time | Remote, U.S. (Central or Eastern Time preferred) | Reports to SVP, Managing Director
The Role
Provide experienced, hands-on leadership for assigned media-led accounts, ensuring sound client service, organized delivery, and strong collaboration with media specialists. The Supervisor is a day-to-day escalation partner and mentor for the Senior Media Account Manager, while the SVP retains responsibility for the most sensitive client, financial, and business decisions.
What You Will Do
- Lead day-to-day client relationships for assigned accounts, facilitate planning and status discussions, and maintain clear follow-through on commitments.
- Coach the Senior Media Account Manager as a dependable sounding board for client communication, prioritization, planning decisions, and professional confidence; provide timely, actionable feedback.
- Handle routine and moderately complex client challenges independently; bring significant relationship, scope, or financial issues to the SVP with recommended solutions.
- Coordinate with media strategists and digital and traditional media specialists to review plans, align deliverables with client goals, and prepare clear client-facing explanations of strategy and performance.
- Oversee timelines, approvals, budgets, status reporting, and changes in scope for assigned accounts; identify risks before they disrupt delivery.
- Lead effective internal and external meetings, review client-ready work for accuracy and clarity, and ensure decisions and owners are documented.
- Support coordination of account team workloads and junior staff development; formal people management may be assigned based on staffing and experience.
- Identify practical opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service while keeping the SVP informed of meaningful risks and opportunities.
What You Bring
- Approximately 4–6 years of agency account management or related media-led client services experience; demonstrated capability matters more than a precise year count.
- Experience independently managing client workstreams and communicating about media plans, performance, budgets, and timelines.
- Working knowledge of programmatic, search, paid social, media KPIs, and the roles of major traditional media channels; no hands-on buying requirement.
- Strong organizational judgment, polished client communication, and ability to navigate competing priorities.
- Ability and interest in coaching a developing account leader and collaborating across remote teams.
Helpful Experience
- Experience supporting large or complex clients and working with digital media operations teams.
- Experience formally supervising or informally mentoring junior account staff.
What Success Looks Like
- Assigned accounts receive responsive, organized client service with fewer avoidable escalations.
- The Senior Media Account Manager gains confidence and independently resolves a growing share of client issues.
- Deliverables, approvals, budget tracking, and communication remain accurate and on schedule.
- Media teams receive clear client direction and clients receive understandable recommendations.
